People ask me why I do Thai Yoga. Some of us have helped others our whole lives whether they realize it or not. Sometimes it takes something such as an illness to wake us up. For myself Fibromyalgia had crippled me to the point it hurt to blink my eyes. After the usual go around with the medical profession and the 'There's nothing wrong syndrome' for months, you look for alternatives and so as not to loose hope you search your heart and the entire healing world. I am proof if you look long enough you will find it. I stumbled on to Thai Yoga while visiting friends in Chicago. There it was, plain as day right in front of me in the Chicago paper. Experience this Ancient Healing Art of more then 2000 years. Now why that particular ad jumped out at me among pages of 100's of ads-- someone was leading me. So to make a long story, which I'm good at, short, I went to an hour overview in Chicago and told the instructor, Chuck Duff, what was going on. He used me at different times off and on for the next hour to demonstrate. On the way home I felt the first relief I had felt in months.
The joy of generosity The joy of compassion The joy of equanimity The joy of oneness Feeling of loving kindness The adamantine pride of the healer
So you know the benefits for me. How will it benefit you?
The joy of receiving Calmness and rest The simplicity of accepting help A refreshed spirit A general increase of energy An opening of the meridians and blocked areas of the body Relief for pain and muscle tension The body and mind (heart) are strengthened and rejuvenated Blood and lymph circulation are improved An increase in flexibility The nervous system is balanced Deep relaxation is facilitated
All what can be written or said is not to be believed but experienced. Then one discovers the real value of this Ancient Healing. If it is not your experience it is of no value what so ever. I can help others tremendously by giving Ancient Yoga, and it will bring joy to me also. Ease and comfort, a well aligned body and open chakras, a more peaceful mind and a relaxed heart are some of the benefits for both the receiver and the giver.
